Another Day of Weather

Today the weather forecast is for 2-6 cm of snow and ice pellets followed by 2-3 hours of freezing rain - yipee! In anticipation my daughter's school board has already cancelled all bus transportation. So far its nothing but windy outside. I have already forewarned my boss that I am going to have to leave early to go get her from school.

I wish this crap weather would cut us some slack - it's making my impending move to our new home a bit ... tricky.

I heard an old favourite song this morning - my boss has Sirius satelite radio in the office tuned into a mostly 80's station. This song reminds me to laying in bed one morning before getting up for highschool and being so proud of myself. While I am a bad singer - there is something satisfying to knowing all the lyrics and being able to sing along (holding your hairbrush like a mock microphone).... this song - I still like it today... it fits.

No One is to Blame - Howard Jones

You can look at the menu but you just cant eat
You can feel the cushions but you cant have a seat
You can dip your foot in the pool but you cant have a swim
You can feel the punishment but you cant commit the sin
And you want her and she wants you
We want everyone
And you want her and she wants you
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame
You can build a mansion but you just cant live in it
Youre the fastest runner but youre not allowed to win
Some break the rules
And live to count the cost
The insecurity is the thing that wont get lost
And you want her and she wants you
We want everyone
And you want her and she wants you
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame
You can see the summit but you cant reach it
Its the last piece of the puzzle but you just cant make it fit
Doctor says youre cured but you still feel the pain
Aspirations in the clouds but your hopes go down the drain
And you want her and she wants you
We want everyone
And you want her and she wants you
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame
No one ever is to blame
No one ever is to blame
